Case study · Delivery
EJIM Express: delivering Douala, proving every job.
EJIM Express delivers parcels all over Douala by motorbike, from its depot in Bonamoussadi. It is a brand of WSC DIGITAL SARL: we run our own deliveries on our own platform.
The problem
A merchant hands over parcels. The rider leaves with them, collects cash on delivery, and has to bring the money back. Without a system, nobody knows where the parcel is, whether the customer received it, or how much the rider owes. The customer calls to ask when it will arrive.
What was built
- A platform on ERPNext: each merchant's stock at the depot, orders, rounds, cash collected and payouts to sellers.
- An Android rider app: sign-in with a WhatsApp code, voice navigation in French, photo proof, cash collection, offline operation.
- WhatsApp messages to the recipient through templates approved by Meta: confirmation, rider on the way, parcel delivered.
- A live tracking page where the customer watches the rider approach and can share their exact location.
- An assistant, Alfred, that runs the platform in plain language.
Key dates
- 9 October 2026: in production.
- 10 October 2026: first real delivery, cash collected on delivery, customer notified on WhatsApp.
- 10 October 2026: all ten WhatsApp message templates approved by Meta.
- 12 October 2026: Alfred, the assistant, in service for the team.
- 24 October 2026: recipient's exact location, offline operation and the rider's own space (their money, their messages) in production.
